GENERAL INFORMATION FOR 2012 !

We are located in the grounds of the Alice Springs Shooting Complex at the Western end of the reserve. Entrance is via Illparpa Road. The Dead Centre Bowhunters are an archery club in Alice Springs that operate under the rules, competitions and guidelines of the Australian Bowhunters Association (ABA). As an ABA affiliated club we meet most Sundays from the beginning of February to early December.

• We start at 8am during the Summer and 9am during the Winter.
• A weekly e-mail is sent out advising what activities are planned.
• Use the
Google Map link at left to find us.

If you are interested and would like to have a go please come out and meet us. The Dead Centre Bowhunters have a Level 1 accredited coach available to help you.
Please wear covered in shoes and bring a water bottle and hat.

Latest News

A number of members made the trip to Wagga recently to compete in the World Bowhunting Championships with Ron 'Thor' Slusser taking out third place in recurve, Andrew Gaff taking out twelfth in the most hotly contested class, bowhunter unlimited. Other members including Chris Clark, 'Nicco' and Tony and James Parkyn also did well and a good time was had by all.

3-D Targets

DCB are in the process of obtaining 20 new Reinhart 3D targets. We currently have 10 Reinharts and 10 useable older 3D targets.

Combined ABA and IFAA Title Shoots

The NT ABA Branch have proposed that the 2011 ABA and IFAA Title shoots be held in conjunction with each other. The titles would be held in Darwin, this would allow both clubs to participate and hold a shoot at each of the locations. Dates are now on the calendar.
